Carved into a limestone cave a hundred metres above the Indian Ocean at Karang Boma, Rockfish is the Bukit's most cinematic table — a grotto of capiz-shell chandeliers and curved banquettes opening onto a clifftop terrace. Head chef Andrey Legkiy, formerly of Nobu and Ginza, sends out precise seafood and wagyu with Japanese, French and Italian touches: oysters, sashimi and tiradito, seared tuna, wood-fired mains and linguine. Time it for the moment the sun drops behind the breakers.
Rockfish Uluwatu was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The food was next level and every dish was so fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The view is unreal and makes the whole experience even more special.
Rockfish at Uluwatu is truly a hidden gem. Getting there from the main road, you almost feel like you're heading the wrong way — as if you're driving toward a private home tucked away in the jungle.
Even though it was raining, the service truly made the whole experience feel warm and cozy for me and my boyfriend. We celebrated our anniversary here and it couldn't have been more wonderful.
