A sprawling Danish-Balinese concept on the southern edge of Ubud, RÜSTERS packs a state-of-the-art coffee roastery, bakery, tea house, pottery studio, furniture showroom and concept store under one soaring ironwood structure — with a Danish chef running breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a sunset bar that looks clear over the rice fields of Kengetan. The coffee is roasted in-house and properly considered; the kitchen is generous and modern; and golden hour, when the paddies light up, is the whole point.
Come late afternoon and the whole place glows — Balinese parasols, rattan chairs and warm-lit timber set into a tropical garden, the rice fields dropping away beyond. This is the hour everyone really comes for, drink in hand.
Under the same ironwood roof: the roastery, a tea house, a pottery studio, a furniture showroom and concept store — even a villa to stay in. RÜSTERS is really a small village of makers, with a sunset bar over the paddies to finish the day.
Rüsters is a hidden gem in Ubud that perfectly blends a serene atmosphere with incredible food. I had an amazing experience here — the vibe is so relaxing, overlooking the beautiful rice fields.
Definitely my #1 dining place during my trip in Bali this time. The atmosphere was amazing with that warm, cozy vibe, and the price is more reasonable than those in central Ubud. The breakfast burrito was surprisingly good!
Absolutely love this place! The staff are very friendly and professional and the views are stunning — a tranquil, beautiful natural space that suits every need. Great for working online or a long lunch.
